What: Supplier Reshoring Team Launch

Where: MSU CAVS Extension Center, 153 Mississippi Parkway, Canton, Mississippi

When: April 23, 2015, beginning at 10:15am

Why: Join the team. Help us convince your customers to reshore some of what they have offshored.

How: You put us in touch with the companies that have offshored. We help the companies understand the economic benefits of reshoring their production or sourcing. They buy more from you!

Who: Companies who sell: Industrial Supplies; Machine Tools; Plastics Processing Equipment; Fasteners; Industrial Gases; Air Compressors; Metals; Electrical Components; Contract Manufacturing; etc.

Price: Free!

The Plan:

• We describe the program, the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Estimator and our database of what each Mississippi company is importing.
• Based on our database and your experience, you identify manufacturing companies that you would like to reshore and connect us with these companies. Especially those you believe are not delighted with offshoring.
• We visit the companies with you, or on our own, educate them on TCO and explore their supply chain problems.
• The companies decide to produce, assemble or source more here.
• You sell more.

Reshoring is the process of bringing back to Mississippi jobs that have been offshored to other countries: replacing foreign suppliers with domestic suppliers and/or in-house production. You can also use our techniques when selling outside of MS.
