How many jobs did we really lose to China?
In order to develop a competitiveness plan for the U.S. it is important to understand the details of what happened to our lost manufacturing jobs. Accoding to a study done by the Economic Policy Institute in 2014, the growing U.S. trade deficit with China cost 3.2 million jobs between 2001 and 2013. The images below show the impact by state.
