3 years of successful reshoring in Mississippi

Harry presented at the Mississippi Make it in America Summit, Mississippi State University, MS on August 11th, wrapping up of 3 years of successful reshoring collaboration in the state. The Reshoring Initiative was a partner with the broad range of Mississippi entities represented by the logos below.

Here are the results of our efforts:

  • Jobs created: 320 to-date, 2,500 more targeted

  • Jobs saved: 13 to-date, 82 more targeted

  • Private investment: $41+ million

  • Internship Program – conducted by 4 Community Colleges in North & Central Miss.
    • 149 Industry Certifications earned
    • 218 Interns enrolled with Miss. manufacturers

    • 151 Internships completed; 132 Jobs Created

  • Technical Training [Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma & Management/Supervisory Training] – conducted by Miss. State Univ.
    • 93 Industry Certifications earned
    • 3 Jobs Created; 43 Jobs Saved
