September 2024 Reshoring Initiative E-News: Full Steam Ahead at IMTS
Progress, Policy and Politics
Reshoring Initiative 1H 2024 data shows more than 2 million U.S. reshoring and FDI manufacturing jobs have been announced since 2010.
The timing of this landmark achievement coincides with a presidential election year and with IMTS, offering the industry an opportunity to reflect on its success and to identify actions that will continue the momentum.
Moving forward, all eyes will be on creating a U.S. Industrial Policy that will dictate a more competitive environment for U.S. manufacturing across a broad range of industries. Skilled workforce development, currency, tariffs, the use of AI, and automation will be among the top issues. Escalating geopolitical tension is the leading factor driving the trend.
The International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) provides the technology needed to enable reshoring and is one of the largest U.S. trade shows of any kind with as many as 100,000 attendees. The Reshoring Initiative’s founder & president, Harry Moser, will be attending IMTS from Sept 9 to 14th to promote and accelerate the trend.
Harry would be delighted to connect with you to learn of your reshoring successes or help with any reshoring opportunities.
OEMs: Discover that 20 to 30% of what you import can be produced or sourced more profitably here.
